Cameron’s 2021 Honours collection has a strong focus on Australian wool and local sourcing. She was awarded the AWET sponsorship, enabling the project to focus on sourcing all-natural fibres. She partnered with local Australian business Geelong Dyeing to custom dye Australian grown merino wool yarn. The collection draws on a love for the intricate textures of hand-generated and machine knitting and seeks to re-conceptualise grandma-esque knitted lacework and intricate geometric patterning. The collection is reminiscent of lightweight knit undergarments as contemporary pieces that softly cocoon and layer the body.
